Just these case fans going hammer and tongs. Aorus Extreme 1080ti and Corsair rm850x in fan stop mode due to system idling. Kraken 圆2 AOI running fine with low fan and pump RPM and temps. Is there anything that could be overriding the bios? Has anyone experienced this before? Also the fact the software can control the speed also seems to indicate an issue. I have tried installing speed fan, and this does not register any fans to control.ĬPU temps are 20-30C in windows (although seems like the 8700k fluctuates 10C on some cores, is that normal?) So it doesn't appear that windows load is causing the PWM to kick to 100%. It also seems to suggest that the fan control range is 100%-100%. This isn't able to control the fans in either config. I have tried installing the Gigabyte System Information Tool that includes Smart Fan 5. The RPM reading is 0 for these fans as well, but Ive read this is due to them being passed through a fan controller. Even when setting the values to 0 the fans appear to be running at 100. Option 1: Fan setting in BIOS Select the fan that you want to configure Select DC or PWM control according to your fan type.

Case fans silent.Īs soon as windows boots, something overrides the bios config and runs the fans at 100. Trying through the BIOS doesnt seem to influence the speed of the System or Case Fans.

The Bios is successfully able to control my case fans, either through voltage control and 3 pin phantek fans directly connected to the MB, or alternatively via CPU fan header in PMW mode via a built in PMW controller that can control multiple 3 pin case fans on the Phantek Evolve ATX. I cant for the life of me fix this issue. I recently built an ITX with specs does not match to the case, caused literally everything to overheat, and all other things are solved (CPU with a custom made cooler and GPU with super noiysy industrial case fan)but the PSU, the PSU causedd most problem, it's overheating shuts the system down while gaming, and that's bugging me alot since every time i play videogames, th system shuts down in the middle of the game, i just asked the forum if i could limit the PSU wattage to prevent overheating or not, and the answer is no.Running a Gigabyte z370 Aorus Ultra - Rev1 Bios F5 The other ppl asking this is to make th fan run slower, but i'm here cuz i feel like my PSU's fan is running too slow and here is the story:
